The California Youth Advocacy Network (CYAN) is hosting regional tobacco treatment trainings for college student health and mental health professionals. The trainings will provide an overview of young adult tobacco and nicotine use, strategies for behavior change, and tobacco cessation best practices. The trainings are no cost and free CEUs are available to RNs.
The first training is scheduled for Friday, August 14th from 9:00am – 4:00pm at Sacramento City College. More information about this specific training is attached. Those in the Sacramento area interested in attending can register here.
FUTURE TRAININGS - FEEDBACK REQUESTED
CYAN is seeking feedback from college health and mental health professionals to learn of potential locations and timing for future trainings. If you are interested in attending a cessation training and are not local to the Sacramento area, please share your thoughts on future trainings. When events have been scheduled, a CYAN staff member will follow up with details about a training in your area.
